The Colonel Bogey March

The Bridge on the River Kwai is a mammoth, magnificent war drama directed by David Lean. It was a superb motion picture; about a hardened, resolute British officer (played by Alec Guiness), captive of the Japanese, who drives his men to build a bridge as therapy, and the attempt of an escaped prisoner (William Holden) to demolish it. Performances, production, script, all deserve the highest praise as a four-star picture. Other great performers were Jack Hawkins and Sessue Hayakawa. Not to be missed, this march was the memorable theme of this fine movie.
